Lok Awaas Yatra (yatra) is a journey to experience sustainable
habitat initiatives across rural India. Representatives from village communities,
panchayats, government and NGOs will share and learn from villages that
have examples of best practices in eco-habitat, which are suited to the
needs of the people. Projects that have a strong base in people's participation
and local control over development in - appropriate construction technologies,
sanitation and water supply mechanisms suitable for rural areas and green
